  • Account — a unique account created for you to access our Service.
  • Service — the SnapsDrops application and website.

2. Types of Data Collected

Personal Data

While using our Service, we may ask you to provide certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to:

  • Email address
  • First name and last name
  • Photos, videos, and other media content uploaded to the Service

Usage Data

Usage Data is collected automatically when using the Service. This may include your Device's Internet Protocol address, browser type, browser version, pages visited, time and date of visit, time spent on pages, and other diagnostic data.

3. Guest Users

SnapsDrops allows guests to upload photos and videos to event galleries without creating an account. When guests use the Service, the following data may be collected:

  • Name (optional — guests may choose to provide their name when uploading)
  • IP address and device/browser information
  • Photos, videos, and other media content uploaded to the gallery

Event organizers are responsible for informing their guests that uploaded content will be stored on SnapsDrops. Guest-uploaded content follows the same retention and deletion policies as organizer content.

4. Tracking Technologies and Cookies

We use Cookies and similar tracking technologies to track activity on our Service. We use both Session and Persistent Cookies for purposes including authentication, remembering user preferences, and analyzing usage patterns.

5. Use of Your Personal Data

We may use your Personal Data for the following purposes:

  • To provide and maintain our Service — including monitoring the usage of our Service
  • To manage your Account — managing your registration and giving you access to various functionalities

We do not sell your Personal Data. We may share your data with trusted third-party service providers when reasonably necessary to operate SnapsDrops and provide the features you use:

  • Clerk — user authentication and account management
  • PayPro Global — payment processing (we do not store your card details)
  • Cloudflare R2 — secure file storage for photos and videos
  • Cloudflare Images — image optimization and transformation
  • Cloudflare Workers — ZIP archive generation for content downloads

7. Data Retention

Your Personal Data, including photos and videos, is retained for the duration of your active event — 3 months from the date of event activation. You will receive a notification 14 days before expiration as a reminder to download your content. After expiration, all event content is automatically and permanently deleted. Account data is retained as long as your account remains active.

8. Security of Your Personal Data

We strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data but cannot guarantee its absolute security. We use various safeguards, including secure cloud hosting and storage services provided by Cloudflare, to store your photos, videos, and media securely.

9. Your Rights under GDPR

You have rights under this Privacy Policy and by law, including:

  • The right to access your Personal Data
  • The right to update or correct your Personal Data
  • The right to delete your Personal Data
  • The right to object to processing of your Personal Data
